Gratitude

Gratitude is the glue that holds together the cycle of conscious creation. It keeps the flow of manifestation constant. This cycle of giving and receiving holds is into the present moment where we are able to create the things we desire. Without gratitude the gift is incomplete.

Acceptance is an important aspect of this cycle. When we are offered anything - whether it is an actual gift or merely a kind word, if we refuse it or deny it in anyway, the flow is interrupted. When this happens our energy is blocked. For this reason, it's important to receive everything that is offered with gratitude. No matter what, or how you feel about it, a "thank you" is always appropriate.

When we accept the things that are presented to us, and the energy flows freely, we don't store up resentments, wounds or other blocks that we will have to deal with later on. We certainly don't have to like or agree with the gift or the giver, but it's our duty to accept and acknowledge their right to their thought, belief or opinion.

Remember - it's all about energy. Keeping the energy moving allows you to receive more of what you truly want!

In this season of Thanksgiving, we have much to be grateful for.

I am grateful for each of you.

Love,
Jean Adrienne

Mirrors

Everything and everyone you encounter in your reality is a mirror for reflecting back to you the appearance of your inner landscape. When you perceive the beauty or grandeur in the world around you and it causes you to gasp, filling you with awe, you have just stumbed upon an image of how beautiful you are at the soul level.
On the other hand, when someone does something you perceive to be so incredibly mean or stupid, they are actually mirroring back to you those parts of yourself that you would rather not care to examine - the parts of yourself that you have judged in some way.
Judgment is a frequency that is not compatible with Ascension. It can't exist in Heaven on Earth, therefore we must leave it behind along with the rest of our baggage and inappropriate beliefs and actions. Because we tend to judge ourselves more harshly than we judge others, even though we don't realize it, it's time to dig deeply within to find all the old beliefs we have about ourselves.
How's the best way to do this? Look around. Every time you find yourself criticizing another person check yourself. What is that person showing you about your hidden inner beliefs, your own incompetence, your own meanness, your own lack of integrity?
As you clean up your own stuff, you release everyone around you from the dirty job of being your mirror. You will be amazed at how radically everyone else changes when you do your inner work!
Remember the words of the Master, Jesus, "Clear the log from your own eye before you try to remove the speck from your brother's!"

EFFORTLESS

The first hard freeze hit the north Georgia mountains this weekend, and with it the trees released their colorful fall leaves. As I sat on the deck meditating this morning, I watched them float effortlessly down to the ground. I realized that everything in nature works this way - effortlessly.

Why is it that we humans do things in the totally opposite way? Where did we create this belief system that everything has to be a struggle if it is to be worthwhile? We surely didn't discern this from nature! I don't know how you were raised, but my parents taught me that work had to be complete before I was allowed to play, study hard, work hard, and keep trying until you get what you want. Then along came Jane Fonda in the 70's with her mantra, "feel the burn" and I internalized that even having a healthy body had to be hard work.

Finally, I am waking up. There IS a better way! Back to the basics...What better way to learn than observing in the maountains. Nature is the perfect teacher. Follow her cycles, watch the moon, listen to the wind and the birds. Look for signs - they are everywhere.

This weekend marks a powerful new moon and the opportunity for new beginnings. Have you set your intention for what you want to create this cycle? Wise farmers know to plant their seeds by the dark of the moon. There is still time to plant yours before the moon moves into the crescent phase. You might be surprised at what you will grow, effortlessly when you move hand-in-hand with nature.

On November 9th, the moon will move into her next phase, so stay tuned. My next blog will be about the tools you can use to cultivate what you have planted!

Surrender

Sometimes my mind is my worst enemy. I think I know what's best for me and then I get invested in being right. Occassionally I am, but more often than not, there are potentially better prospects I'm not able to see,

So why is that? Because once I think I have things figured out, I quit looking. The blinders go on and I begin forging my way on a fixed path. Most of the time the path is a steep one, complete with bumps, struggle, pain and loss. My ex-husband used to laugh and say, "Don't get in Jean's way once she's made up her mind!"

Life isn't supposed to be so difficult. When we are aware that there is a power greater than us with access to the field of pure potential, then we can allow for choices that are better than the ones we might have made left to our own devices. This "reframing" opens the door for options that are greater, easier and more harmonious.

How can we get there? Only through surrender - through completely letting go of control. That's a challenge for most of us, because we have lived with the belief systems that has made us think that the only way we could ensure survival was through controlling everything.

One day, after years of struggle and failure, I realized the insanity of trying to do everything my way. I saw that this had never really worked for me and decided to give that alternative a shot.

Surrender isn't about losing control of your life. It's about making the conscious choice to give it away. Only then can the Universal Laws work the way they were intended and bring more wonderful things to us than we coud ever have conceived on our own with the least expenditure of energy.
